Being fascinated by cameras at a young age and my passion for surfing, the two were always going to mix well. My first published work featuring 46 photos of my local beach appeared in NZ Surfing Magazine when I was 18. That gave me even more passion to follow what i loved doing.

I was one of the main photographers for Kiwi Surf Magazine from its beginnings in the early 1990s and worked with a variety of other water sports publications over the years. My photos have been used by many surf and non surf companies throughout my career and I have had the privilege of photographing many of the top surfers in the world. 

Currently I shoot with a Canon 1DX Mk II with a Canon 600mm f4 lens as my main weapon of choice and I am happy to call Alexandra Headland in the beautiful Sunshine Coast home.
